Welcome!

You have landed on the home-page of Malcolm Shield. My site is primarily an e-folio of my work and experience, though it does offer some thoughts on what it is to be an engineer and what I call the 'energy conundrum'. Please take the time to look through it and get in touch if you have any questions, thoughts, comments etc etc, I'd be happy to hear from you.

Mechanical Engineer

I am a mechanical engineer by training having completed my MEng at Imperial College London, with my PhD in clean energy transport solutions pending this spring. This site is aimed at providing a more complete platform than a two page resumé, although I have linked my current C.V.

Employment

I am currently looking for work in the energy sector in an environment which is professional, forward thinking and socially responsible. My true benefit to future employers comes from my ability to comfortably integrate the theoretical, industrial and commercial aspects of modern engineering projects. I would like to apply my technical abilities before moving into project management and ultimately business strategy.
